Here at King’s our aim is to make the world a better place – one great idea, one discussion, one discovery at a time. We use knowledge and education to help solve some of the world’s biggest problems that impact lives- from the heart of London to across the globe.

Through our world-leading research we create, innovate and make a lasting impact. We’re proud of our history as a research institution that has contributed to the discovery of the structure of DNA and the Higgs Boson, and we’ve pioneered medical research in areas from cancer to autism, as well as advancing research in radar, radio, television and mobile phones.

Your gift to the Global Day of Giving will provide more vital funding for innovative new studies and support our dedicated team of researchers addressing real-world problems – one great idea, one discussion, one discovery at a time. From improving diagnosis and developing more effective treatments for cancer patients; tackling neurodegenerative diseases that cause dementia; to advancing gender equality around the world with the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership.

Your support could help advance research into immunology – one life-changing treatment, one cancer patient at a time.

Our work in cancer immunology is transforming cancer care, by harnessing the power of the immune system to prevent, control and eliminate cancer with many advantages. It specifically targets cancer cells, not healthy ones, far reducing side effects of treatment. It can adapt continuously and dynamically, like cancer does, so it can re-evaluate and continue targeting the disease as it progresses. It remembers what cancer cells look like, so can target and eliminate them again if they return. And because it can be applied to nearly all types of cancer, it’s universal. It is one of the most exciting and promising approaches to treating cancer since the discovery of chemotherapies over 60 years ago – and it has already transformed the treatment of some cancers, extending and saving lives.

By making a donation today, you could help provide King's experts with the tools and equipment needed to improve and save thousands of lives.
